Alex Milella MW2006 Headless Custom Guitar:
Marco Matrunola Edition MSS
This wonderful custom guitar body was made for guitar wizard Alex Milella and features
construction of a figured and stained maple bookmatched top, a one piece
stained alder wood back complete with a matching alder control cover. The neck
is an original Steinberger Graphite headless, and the ever incredible and
innovative Steinberger transposing T-Trem bridge providing
stable and rapid tuning as usual.

The body is semi-hollow which reduces weight, as well as increasing resonance
for superb sustain and a rich and appealing tone.

The pickups are passive Seymour Duncans (a ,59 and an Allan Holdsworth
special custom ordered) and these puppies can sing or scream the way you want. A custom
5 way selector switch allows for a variety of pickup combos and compelling timbers of sound.

Contoured and comfortable all around (from back to front!).
Superb comfort/easy access to 24th fret

The  Polyurethane finish provides a high gloss luster that protects out the
beauty of the stained wood grain. High gloss finishes are nice, and while I
'm not a big fan of them there are times when they just look so good.....well, let's just say,
they make you want to take a bite out of the guitar! :)

The weight of this instrument is well balanced by the combination of the
woods and the body design, and
results in an extremely comfortable guitar with super sustain and tone.

Born from an idea:

The MW2006 Design Born From inspiration.......:

The concept of this guitar was inspired by contemporary guitar concepts, and is
essentially
the inspired imagination of Alex's desires,
along with my interpretation of his drawings.
There's no
doubt that he had a brilliant idea, and
I was happy to be able to interpret into this shapely beauty

Visit Alex Miella's web site and listen to this master of the
guitar -- he is truely talented!

Alex's Review:

So the guitar is in my hands, and it is a very jewel.
The sound is very smooth and resonant and gives
more thickness to every note! I compare MW with my original
Steinberger GL and the sound is very warm... really!!! I like it very very much!

Saturday I'll make the first gig with it... it will
be a nice surprise for all my fellows musicians :-)

Soon I'll make a video and I'll play MW and I'll be proud to show it!

Next week I'll come back to school and I'll show it to all my students.

The only changes I made are:

1) Gold switch screws  to replace chrome one (much better now)
2) Cream and Flat mounting rings humbucking
3) More low strings action
4) Adjusted pick up and poles height... now each string have the same volume output.

The MW is a real masterpiece and I'm enjoying from the first time I played it.

A presto

Alex

Bill's Reply:

I am thrilled -- especially since I was able to
produce what Alex was looking for and he is such a talented player,
I wanted to be sure to live up to his expectations.
Special thanks also to Peekamoose in NY city for their assistance with fret work,
TT bridge tune up, and Plek work requested by Alex, and to Tri Evans for his neck
inlay work.

Notes: Seymour Duncan, and Steinberger, etc. are registered trade names of the
manufacturers and are not affiliated with Wilkat Guitars in any way.

Special Thanks to Ned Steinberger for his words of
wisdom, & for creating the "original" Steinberger
guitars, tuners, and bridges. His ingenious designs will live on!
